We believe in one God, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; II Corinthians 13:14; John 1:1) We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ was the only begotten Son of the Father, and is truly God and truly man. He was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died a vicarious and atoning death for the sins of the world, resurrected bodily for our justification, and now reigns in Glory until all things be put under His feet. (I Timothy 3:16)
We believe the Bible; that the Scriptures of both Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings and that the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men is contained therein. We believe that the New Testament Church clearly established the “Apostle’s Doctrine” and carefully followed the instructions given by our Lord in establishing the first century Church. (Acts 2:38, 39)
We believe that man was made in the image of God, but fell into sin and is therefore alienated from his Creator from birth. Only by God’s obtained grace through faith can man be reconciled to God.
The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection from the dead provide the only grounds for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God. We believe that those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ will repent of their sins and be buried with our Lord Jesus Christ in the waters of baptism (Acts 2:38, Romans 6:4, II Peter 3:9). Those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ should receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit just as recorded in the Acts of the Apostles. (Acts 2:4, 10:46, 19:6) The baptism in the Holy Spirit is a spiritual rebirth as the Spirit of God indwells our spirit bringing new life and power. We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are active within the Church (the body of Christ) until the return of the Lord. Furthermore, we believe that the development of these gifts ought to be encouraged under the guidance of the local church authority. (Acts 8:14-17; Acts 19:1-2; I Corinthians 12:4-7) We believe that those who are born of the water and of the Spirit (born again, John 3:3-5) are called by the name of Christ and strive to be like Christ, forsaking the sinful works of the carnal man. We believe the character of Christ will be created in us by the work of the Holy Spirit. (II Timothy 2:19) We believe the true Church is composed of all who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been born again, are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head. We believe that the callings of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher are functional within the body of Christ until the return of our Lord. These ministries are gifts to the Church for the purpose of equipping the saints for the work of the ministry, that the body of Christ may be edified. (Ephesians 4:11-16)
We believe in the literal second coming of our Lord, the rule of Christ upon the earth, the resurrection of the regenerate to eternal life and the unregenerate to eternal damnation, and the ultimate victory of the eternal Kingdom of God. (Acts 1:9-11; Daniel 12:2; Revelation 22:1-7)
